Africa House, IRCO Africa House is the only culturally and linguistically specific one stop center targeting the increasingly diverse and rapidly growing number of African immigrants and refugees living in Oregon. Receiving national attention for moving beyond intercultural strife to be the only center serving Africans from every country in the continent, Africa House is led by an advisory board of cross-cultural community leaders.
AfroVillage PDX The AfroVillage is more than a physical space, it is a movement rooted in the vision of Portland community member and activist Laquida Landford. The movement focuses on addressing the needs of our most vulnerable population — unhoused individuals — with a focus on racial disparities and inequalities. Through a variety of initiatives and events, including Old Town Fresh and Sneaker Week in Downtown Portland, AfroVillage provides a variety of critical services to community members and has started important conversations around fundamental basic needs such as hygiene and sanitation, food scarcity, and mental and physical health.
Afro-World Music PDX This group purpose is to rally everyone who is interested in joining a fun diversity of people united by a common goal of discovering, sharing and enjoying events in which music dance and food experience is tied to the Caribbean islands, Africa, and the Americas!
Alliance of Black Nurses Association of Oregon (ABANO) ABNAO nurtures an empowered Black nursing community by promoting solidarity, professional enrichment, and collaborative partnerships.
ABNAO is a safe space for Black nurses to speak freely, honestly, and without interruption.

BIPOC Staff Affinity Group, Portland Public Schools The BIPOC Community Circle welcomes all Black, Indigenous, Asian, Middle-Eastern, Latinx, and mixed race staff members. This group began in 2017. We hold regular social gatherings and provide career pathways support and emotional support and advocacy.
Black & Beyond the Binary Collective Black & Beyond the Binary Collective builds the leadership, healing, and safety for Black - African transgender, queer, nonbinary, two-spirit, and intersex (TQN2SI+) Oregonians.
We envision a future that gives power back to our communities, celebrates self-expression, and preserves the dignity, joy, and the future of Black queer and Trans communities living fully liberated lives.

Black Cultural Initiative Eugene, OR The Black Cultural Initiative is a collection of programs that are designed to serve Lane County’s Black population.
Our Community Center offers a wide range of self-sufficiency programs where we take unique respectful approaches to empowering our community to live more stable lives. We target employment, financial literacy, and mental and physical health (including food security). To remove barriers, most services are offered with an online option and childcare is provided onsite.
Black Faculty/Staff Affinity Group, Portland State University The Black Faculty/Staff Affinity Group (BFSAG) is an employee group committed to creating an inclusive, safe and affirming environment for self-defined faculty, staff, and students of direct African descent, including those who also define themselves as biracial or multiracial. BFSAG’s mission aligns with PSU's equity initiatives and strategic goals and supports the recruitment, retention, and empowerment of Black faculty, staff, and students, as well as the establishment of networks with Black alumni. Furthermore, it supports the cultivation of equitable relationships with members of Portland and the region’s Black communities by recognizing that historical and contemporary manifestations of institutionalized racism impact us locally and regionally.
Blacks In Technology, Portland We started out supporting each other professionally and are continuously paying it forward. We expect inclusion… the basics help, such as representative leadership. Additionally we practice specific steps to make our communities better. We pay our privileges forward.

Black Portland FB Group This is an online community that was created by and for Black Portlanders. The purpose of this community is to network, share community events, share resources, establish support systems, and more.
This group is solely for Black community members who are from (or currently live in) Portland and the surrounding area. We reserve the right to use any tools at our disposal to verify your identity prior to joining. Members with friends or family in the group are added faster.
Black Possibilities App/Website, Imagine Black This community space was designed to help connect Oregonians with a safe online space to come together, heal, advocate, and dismantle our internal and external anti-Black racism.

The Soul Restoration Center Based in Portland, Ore., known as the country's whitest metropolitan city, we activate Black joy, creativity, multi-generational healing, and ancestral resiliency within our buoyant Black community. The Center is a respite where Black folks are WELCOMED * CENTERED * LOVED * CELEBRATED.
The Center welcomes all generations to attend our music, arts, and creative-making events. Some drop by just to sit, relax and be at peace.

We started this journey to address the systemic disparities that limit marginalized communities' access to alternative ways of healing, outdoor spaces, and personal growth opportunities.

Womxn and Femmes of Color Organizing for Racial Justice, Support & Healing Support Group This group is for folks who identify as women/femmes/GNC/NB/2S+ AND black, indigenous, or people of color who want to gather together for support and healing with other WFoC - feel free to share with WFoC in your networks!
We are an increasingly growing and diversifying group of WFoC. We believe that by working across cultures we can transform and improve our communities and enhance our well being. We meet and share about our experiences in an open and fluid, yet (generally lightly) facilitated format. We also go on occasional wellness-oriented outings (like group hikes or trips to gardens).*
This group meets regularly and offers a safer space where WFoC are invited to share and check in with other WFoC about their experiences. There are about 200 members of this group with varied levels of involvement and new members are always welcomed.
